Meet "Sweetheart"

What People Say!

HER STORY

Sajni Datwani, is a Toronto-based food enthusiast and a culinary instructor whose clients have given her the nickname of “sweetheart”. Love & Spice Cooking aims to turn willing souls into extraordinary cooks with the ease of adding a dab of spice, pesto, or panko.

Her son has always been her biggest inspiration. He loves her food and, when he was asked what he wanted to eat, he would reply: “surprise me, mom”. That allowed her to think big and made her want to create something exotic to tickle and delight his taste buds.

She firmly believes that cooking is an art that can be mastered, but love and spice are a combination that creates magic in the kitchen. Her students find her unique persona mesmerizes them by showing them how easy and fun cooking is, and the importance of adding love to it.

She has the knack of weaving her love for cooking with anthropology, resulting in a delicious and interesting meal. By fusing the exotic ingredients of the East into the stressful lifestyles of the West, she creates a global and playful palette of food, with plenty of heat, heart, and health.

Her creativity comes from being a Marketing/Production Specialist, who thrived in the advertising world, a graphic designer, a painter, and a Master in Ikebana. In short, her creative flair has enhanced her cooking skills, and she is excited to share it with you!

Thank you for the tasty recipes and the good laughs. All the food was great and learning how to make new recipes will become very useful to impress my friends and family. I may see you in the Indian Cooking class coming in the future. Keep those taste buds dancing.

Learning to cook has made a big difference for me; it has made my life simpler and more fun. Last night my husband and I made 'rotis' together - it was fun and healthy. I love that my kids love my cooking and ask eagerly "What's for dinner?". My husband told me that he loves my cooking so much that he doesn't want to eat out anymore.

Sajni has a great passion for cooking and makes cooking easy and fun. Her recipes are amazing! I have countless cookbooks, but none compare to Sajni’s recipes which are simple, healthy yet delicious! She really takes the time to go through each ingredient and provides easy-to-follow recipes. I was always reluctant to entertain, but she has inspired me to cook and entertain and I am enjoying it immensely!
