Apple Sundae w / Blueberry Compote

A decadent and easy dessert for this holiday season. Compote is a mixture of fruit in a sugar syrup. This warm apple dessert is sure to be a crowd pleaser.

| 2 apples of your choice | |
| 3 tsp butter | |
| 1 cinnamon stick | |
| Vanilla ice cream | |
| 2 cups of blueberries | |
| ½ lemon - zest and juiced | |
| ¼ cup sugar | |
| 1 can of Whipped Cream | |
| ¼ cup blanched sliced almonds |
Directions
1.
Peel and chop apples into cubes.

Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.

Add cinnamon stick and apples. Sauté for 2 minutes and then simmer for 7-10 minutes.

In another skillet, add blueberries, lemon zest, lemon juice, and sugar. Stir and bring to a medium boil.

Cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally until the blueberries pop – not too soft.

Serve in a Martini glass

Add a layer of warm apples and spoon a scoop of ice cream. Repeat the apple layer and scoop of ice cream.

Pour some warm blueberry compote and a dollop of whipped cream.
